The Master of Arts in Training program gives a sophisticated diploma in artwork education structured to build a community of collegial professionals who exhibit disciplinary experience together with information of the content material of artwork education, talent with sound pedagogical strategies, understanding of current scholarship and issues throughout the field, and the power to positively impression student learning. Diana Norma Szokolyai, Ed.M.’09, the chief creative director of the Cambridge Writers’ Workshop, has printed two chapbooks of poems in recent years, Roses in the Snow (poems and pictures) (Boston: Imaginary Cottage Press, 2008) and Parallel Sparrows (Georgetown, Kentucky: Finishing Line Press, 2012).
Dana Frantz Bentley, Ed.M.’05, a preschool teacher at Buckingham Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge, is the writer of Everyday Artists: Inquiry and Creativity in the Early Childhood Classroom (New York: Academics School Press, 2013) and of a wide range of articles on the arts, pedagogy, and trainer research within the early childhood classroom.
More not too long ago she has edited Discourse and Disjuncture Between the Arts and Greater Training (New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2016), a group that includes contributions by her former AIE instructing fellows Tiffanie Ting, Ed.M.’02, and Adriana Katzew, Rubén A. Gaztambide-Fernández, Ed.M.’00, Rhoda Bernard, Ed.M.’99; James G. Daichendt, Ed.M.’03; Marit Dewhurst, Ed.M.’03; Courtney Lee Weida, Ed.M.’03, and Steve Seidel, AIE faculty director.
This program supports nationwide-stage, excessive-high quality arts schooling initiatives and packages for children and youth, with particular emphasis on serving students from low-earnings households and college students with disabilities.
