Cordless Telephones – Bring home the next gen communication
Cordless phones are based completely on the DECT technology. DECT technology is a wireless technology and starts operating at 1.8 GHz. One of the main working components of cordless phones is frequency. Frequency effects the quality of cordless phones. It means if we keep frequency low than the range of the device increases. And if the range increases than voice quality decreases. This is because of the fact that range is inversely proportional to voice quality. The working of cordless phones is very simple and based on radio waves. The sound is converted into radio particles and then transmits over the network. At receiving end, the incoming radio waves are again decoded into sound using decoders and hence make them audible. In a cordless phone, there are two types of components. First one is handset or receiver and second one is base station. The base station is connected to the phone line directly. When the base station receives a call, it converts the incoming electric signal into radio signals and transfer those signal to handset. After getting radio signals, the handset converts these radio signals again into electronic signals and using a decoder we can hear the sound.
Cordless phones provide a large number of features and are widely used in offices as well as homes. The features include good voice quality, display screen, long range, ID caller and many more. There are many companies that deal with the manufacturing of cordless phones. Some of the biggest names are Motorola, Sony and Panasonic. Among all these, the biggest manufacturer of cordless phones is Motorola.
Many people get confused because they are not able to decide which cordless phone to buy. So, before buying, a person must research on the internet about the latest models and their price. Normally, price varies according to the features and brand name. If you are buying a branded phone like Motorola, then you have to pay a handy amount. Other factors like battery quality, range etc. also play very important role so we must keep them in our mind before buying a cordless phone.
