In the Northern part of America and Canada we have large type of deer known as caribou. When you go to Canada this wild animal is very important to them since they use it as a national symbol. But of late their population had been reducing due to a number of factors which interferes with their habitats. Some of the things that has resulted into the reduction of this animal are; industrial development, global warming, they are also running away from wolves which eat them as prey and many other factors as well.
This has become a national concern and now a group of companies have come together with one objective of restoring the habitat of this animal its original form including oil and gas exploration companies that originally participated in the degradation of their habits. Surely they did cause a lot of destruction to the existing forest by creating routes that were leading them to gas and oil mining points which led to fragmentation of land and in turn interfered with the habitat for caribou.
Like this mining companies started by improving their mining methods. The improved methods were aiming at maximizing the production at the same time they were causing minimal disturbances which led to faster recovery of the forests. But to some extent the long trenches that were dug have not fully recovered and some of them are used as hiding places for caribou though wolves can still found them in such places.
Why No One Talks About Environments Anymore
These attracted other companies who decide to collaborate with just one of objective of restoring the forest and protecting these wild animals. Too many heads are better than one they were deploying different techniques in dealing with these problems. Out of the projects that participated we had some like Linear Deactivation Project or LiDea and the Alger Historic Restoration Project among others.
Getting Creative With Projects Advice
Together as one they came at a consensus and decided to replant trees along the deep trenches. The advantage with these areas was that it was majorly consisting of blogs and wetlands which enabled many trees to be planted during the winter season with approved methods that they had tested previously to working.
They went ahead and continued with activities like mounding, seeding and coarse placement of woody materials. Besides, they have also formed wildlife monitoring program whose main aim is find out if the restoration projects are affecting wildlife in one way or the other. With all this their project has been very successful with all the organizations that participated closely monitoring the progress.
