Tip #1: Get yourself to do some freewriting.
When you are still in the middle of the novel that you are writing, then chances are, it can be very challenging to get off of what you have already started outlining and doing. However, if you cannot proceed with the entire content of your book and you just see yourself staring at your screen, then try to steer yourself away from what you are writing and do some freewriting first.
You can start your freewriting venture by at least spending fifteen minutes writing about anything that goes inside your head each day. The best thing about freewriting is that you do not have to worry if your writing makes sense of even worry about its structure because what you just need to do is get the words out of your thoughts and put them into writing.
Freewriting works wonders owing to the fact that your brain can keep running. Just consider freewriting to be your warm-up exercise before you go writing.
Tip #2: Try moving around.
Be realistic about things and keep in mind that writing is a very sedentary work. What happens often with writers is that they get some discomfort and could get too cramped up that will then cause their brains to no longer function as usual.
There are a lot of ways that you can get yourself moving to loosen up. Try doing breathing exercises, stretching, walking or jogging, dancing, Yoga, and Tai Chi. Your mind only becomes healthier and more open if you make sure to keep it relaxed.
Tip #3: Quit doing writing first.
Stopping some writing does not mean permanently, of course.
Most of the time, writer’s block happens because writers are overwhelmed with too much writing and have nothing else to think about.
If your writer’s block is just too much to handle, then it is best that you think of other more creative ways to have a comeback by quitting some writing first.
